Looking up at the suspended balloon, baby’s basic understanding of the physical space around them starts to develop. When they make the balloon move, they are introduced to the cause and effect process, learning about how their bodies interact with surrounding objects.
As your child holds the rattle in their hands, they feel its texture and weight and begin to make a connection between the feel of an object and its appearance. Emphasize this by touching different rattle parts and saying, “smooth” or “soft.”
