Learning skills

Looking up at the suspended plane, baby’s basic understanding of the physical space around them starts to develop. When they make it move, they are introduced to the cause and effect process, learning how their bodies interact with surrounding objects.

Curiosity

Exposing baby to the plane’s color, movement, sound, and different textures in the safe environment of their crib or stroller, expands their understanding of the world, ignites curiosity, and sparks their interest to discover more.

Imagination & Creativity

Exposing newborn babies and infants to color, movement, sound, and different sensations in a safe and soothing environment, expands their understanding of the world, fuels their imagination, and plants the seeds of creativity.

Fine Motor Skills

Baby’s hands spontaneously encounter the suspended plane, soon prompting voluntary movement, and reaching and grasping then follow. Show baby how to spin the propeller and crinkle the wings. When they begin to do this themselves, it enhances their fine motor skills.

Gross Motor Skills

As baby’s feet move, they touch and activate the music in the suspended plane, encouraging kicking and foot-eye coordination. Reinforce the connection for baby by extending the leg for them to activate it and expressing delight at the result.

Senses

Engaging all of your baby’s senses, the plane sound effects develop visual and auditory skills, and the colorful textures enhance tactile stimulation. Its simultaneous activation of several sensory pathways at once strengthens the development of these processes.

Communication

Children naturally seek out faces, and the sweet, big-eyed face of the animal will nurture this instinct for communication, engagement, and eventually empathy. Model talking to the animal, asking, “Where are we flying to today?”

Confidence

When baby taps the plane, it is activated with ease, creating an exciting reaction of sights and sounds. These provide a sense of accomplishment, boosting baby’s feeling of self-confidence. Reinforce the feeling by exclaiming, “Good job!”

Cooperation and Sharing

Lie with your baby on the playmat under the plane suspended overhead, snuggle close and point out the different elements. Experiencing it together, but differently, allows baby to begin to understand how other individuals have experiences different from their own.
